Fast forward a day or two after I install the software and I'm given a ban for "use of macros" which I can only imagine would be a combination of that software being present on my machine (we could detect that at Blizzard) and the long play times I've racked up doing the same thing for 12+ hours a day - which was a red flag when reviewing suspected bots. My mouse is on it's way out and to postpone having to replace it I decided to download Logitech software that lets me configure the buttons so I could move left click to another button. I'd stay logged in while cleaning or cooking, turning up my speakers to hear the Alt1 notification from the next room to come back and click somewhere in the screen or tap an arrow key. I'd mine sometimes 16 hours in a day while doing other things - searching for work, playing other games, watching anime, etc.
Being unemployed I've spent a lot of hours working towards 200m Mining at Seren stones as it's fairly afk with Alt1 giving me notifications that I'm going to get lobbied. I recently came back to RS3 after a break as something to do on my second monitor. For a bit of background, I was previously a Specialist Game Master where a large portion of my daily workflow was handling bots/hacks/cheats among other things. While not required, as I'm no longer employed there, the views expressed herein are my own and do not reflect the company.
